Since August 2023, Pascal Schmid has been a member of the Board of Directors of BEE Digital Growth AG. Pascal Schmid is a Swiss cloud pioneer and member of the board of directors in various companies. Among other things, he is responsible in this role for the strategic development of the Netrics Group, a leading Swiss managed service provider.
In addition to the duties of a board member as defined in the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO), Pascal Schmid will use his immense experience from more than two decades in management positions to keep BEE on the road to success and to support new developments.
There is a long-standing partnership between Pascal Schmid and Ben Klein, founder and CEO of BEE Digital Growth AG. How can this connection be summed up in a few words and how does Pascal Schmid himself see his role as a board member at BEE? We asked directly:
BEE:
You are a member of the Board of Directors of BEE Digital Growth AG. What do you find appealing about this position?
Pascal Schmid:
Digitalisation plays an important role in everything I do. I am fascinated by the possibilities offered by new technologies when they are used correctly. On the other hand, my heart is clearly a salesman. So it is obvious that the combination of sales and digitalisation - digital marketing - has more than piqued my interest. However, we are still at the beginning of the digitalisation and automation of marketing and sales processes. That's why I want to help explore the possibilities in this discipline to make it easily accessible to as many companies as possible. As a pioneer in this field, BEE is the right place for me.
BEE:
The connection between you and BEE has been growing for a long time. How did it come about?
Pascal Schmid:
Within the scope of my tasks for the Netrics Group, I already dealt with the topic of marketing automation and inbound marketing at an early stage. We at Netrics wanted to use the advantages of marketing digitalisation years ago. In my search for experts, I quickly came across Ben Klein and the company BEE.
Together we developed a digital go-to-market strategy and consistently implemented and developed it. Since that time, I have been able to give a clear recommendation for BEE from various contacts in my network. Since BEE is still on an expansion course, the idea was obvious to Ben Klein that I could support the company in the organic and also in the inorganic area. I was happy to accept this task.
BEE:
BEE is already successfully established in the market. Do you still have a vision for BEE?
Pascal Schmid:
In the future, digital marketing will no longer be able to function as a detached discipline. As a leading transformer, we help customers and partners to digitise marketing and sales independently of technology and to integrate it seamlessly into the go-to-market strategy and the existing tool landscape. Becoming a pioneer when it comes to transforming companies towards a holistic strategy is therefore the goal - and already more than a vision today. It is also clear that all meaningful new technologies and methods that we will still see will flow into this strategy. AI is an important keyword here.
BEE:
What functions and tasks will you focus on as a member of the BEE Board of Directors?
Pascal Schmid:
As a sparring partner of the BEE management, I will be happy to help develop the existing business models. Based on my experience in the field of mergers and acquisitions, I would also like to actively support BEE in its future growth. I am convinced that there are still many opportunities that need to be developed together. My experience as Strategic Corporate Developer of the Netrics Group will be useful in this respect.
